Blurry/fuzzy PDF prints in Google Chrome/Chromium

When printing PDFs in Chrome or Chromium (using Nextcloud’s pdfviewer app) the prints are blurry (actually, the print preview is fuzzy already). It works in Firefox.

I tried with several different PDFs and the behavior is always the same.
