Blank Page after PHP7 upgrade

I was running PHP 5.6 with Nextcloud 12 (on Centos 7) and for the most part it was working ok.

I then upgraded to PHP7 (PHP-FPM) and since then I am only getting a blank white page when trying to connect t the Nextcloud URL. No errors, no warnigs, just a blank page.

I’ve tried restarting the php-fpm and nginx services but no change.

I’ve also seen a couple of similar posts on the forum but these don’t seem to contain the solution for this issue.

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Your webserver, php-fpm logfiles should contain more information. If there is nothing, you perhaps can increase the loglevel of your processes or run them in debug mode.

Thanks tflidd for your reply

I seem to be getting these errors in the php-fpm “www-error.log”

Could these be the cause of the blank pages?

Yes that looks like the problem. Can you check with your webserver-user (the one who is running the php process) can access the folder (the user is apache):
sudo -u apache ls -lisa /usr/share/nginx/html/nextcloud

If that is ok, there could be the open_basedir-restriction or SELinux or other security modules.
