Summary of the issue you are facing:
I have setup daily backups from with the AIO interface through Borg.
Backups are working but notification mails are not sent.
I have setup the SMTP server with the admin account in the administation settings.
Test message, email to new users, password reset mails are all sent without problems.
Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

Set the automatisch backup schedule in AIO interface
