Automatic addition of attendees depending on title of meeting

I have a shared calendar with my wife. We also each use our private calender to track dates that are not important to share.

Now my kids want to see the appointments in the shared calendar that affect them.

Right now their calender app has two calendars: The first one beeing the Shared family calendar and the second one each their own private calender. To show only the dates affecting them, I need to add them as a attendee, which shows the dates in their private calendar.

This has a few issues:

  1. My wifes calendar App doesn’t allow attendees to be added, but she loves it.
  2. I sometimes forget to add my kids as attendees and then I don’t know which dates, has them added. It’s tedious to go through all appointments and check.
  3. We have at least 50 dates that are already in the shared calender that I have to manually add them to.

Our calendar - Titles are all formated like this:
KCAEFT - Description with KCAFT being the first letter of the attending person.

Long story short: Does anybody know a way to automatically extract the Letters from the appointment-title and match that with the attendees?
This should happen automatically (maybe every day) .

Any idea to solve this problem is appreciated

This is a really clever system you’ve set up with the initials in the title—I totally get how managing attendees manually can become a hassle, especially with a busy family calendar. Something like a simple automation script or a no-code tool (like Zapier or Make .com) could scan event titles daily, match the initials (like K for Kevin, C for Chris, etc.), and automatically add the right attendees. I had a similar realization while trying to organize a bunch of kids jokes for my little oneswhat started as fun quickly became chaotic without a system, so I can imagine how tricky it gets with 50+ appointments. Hopefully, some automation can save you the same kind of headache!
