to control the outgoing internet traffic I used https://f-droid.org/en/packages/eu.faircode.netguard/ on my device, which “fakes” a VPN connection to allow and denied app traffic. I have configured the nextcloud to auto upload my pictures.
Auto upload worked fine, if Netguard is disabled. While Netguard is enabled, the Nextcloud app is always in the state of waiting for wlan. Manually I can upload files from the nextcloud app while Netguard is enabled, but auto upload doesn’t work.
Any hints why? Is VPN a problem for auto upload? Did someone auto upload with a real VPN connection?
