the latest 2.6 now features also local playlists!
.m3u files are not only read for stream urls like radio stations.
Local playlists with relative links to your existing files in NC can now also be used.
important: no absolute paths like C:/music/test.mp3 but relative like /folder/subfolder/test.mp3
