I’m the primary maintainer of the Nextcloud MCP Server and Astrolabe App. The latest release of Astrolabe now implements the Context Agent Provider, which enables Astrolabe and the MCP Server to be used to power the Nextcloud Assistant. The Context Agent (and related ExApp infrastructure) is no longer needed to give Nextcloud Assistant access to your data - all behind strict OIDC-compliant scopes so that the Assistant only has access to the data admins explicitly allow.
Please raise an issue of either repository if you run into challenges installing them on your system, or consider joining the wait-list on Astrolabe Cloud if you’re interested in a managed offering.
