It seems that the viewer app in v19 cannot be disabled. Even using occ it responds with “viewer can’t be disabled.”
I understand that it’s used for several things, but does anyone know why it’s considered so essential that it cannot be disabled?
In our case, the users do not need or want the capability to view images and videos in Nextcloud. It’s actually more beneficial if clicking on the files just allows us to download, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to disable the viewer functionality, so for every file they have to click on the menu to download.
Even if there was a way to exclude file types or any configuration at all, it would be fixable, but there is currently no way that I can find.
