Android with encryption: cannot connect to nextcloud 12

Steps to replicate it:

  1. create an account on nextclcoud for user U passwd P
  2. Samsung S7, model SM-G930F, Android 7.0 phone with encryption enabled
  3. Install nextcloud 3.0.3
  4. In the menu click “Instant Upload”
  5. Click on the white cloud in the hope it becomes blue

The Nextcloud app asks for user/password to access the file system. The user/password is given and succeeds (it claims to succeed when looking at the logs via the web interface). Then it asks for permission again. And keeps doing that in a loop.

Which android version do you use? In last time some user got the same problem :wink:
