Android App Error uploading photos

The issue you are facing:
I am unable to upload photos from android phone to nextcloud server.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): Yes

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Select a folder to upload to
  2. Tap +
  3. Upload content from other apps
  4. Select Gallery
  5. Select photo
    At this point get error message: Could not copy file to a temporary folder. Try to resend it

This is a strange error as I’m not trying to send anything. I’m trying to upload a photo from my phone to my nextcloud server. I’ve had this server installed for years and never had issue before.

Note, I installed the app from fdroid. I removed the account, cleared cache and data. Uninstalled, reinstalled, logged in again. Same error.

Update: I removed the fdroid app and installed the google play version and the error does not happen. It appears to be an issue with the fdroid build.

If you would have searched the forum first, you had seen that there was a general problem in the Android app v3.14.1 which has been resolved in v 3.14.2 :wink:
