Android App: 2-Way-Sync

I wish, i would understand the Android App. There is some sort of 2 way sync in the options. I can choose a folder, which is synced and this folder seems to be synced between the server and the Android phone.

Where do i find the folder on the phone? There seems to be nothing. Just a hint or a button, to get or open the local path, would be nice.

The next problem is the sync interval. I have several options to choose from. From 15 minutes to several hours. I assume, this means: Checking changes on server side. I would expect that a local file change, will get synced instantly to the server. Is this the case or do i have to wait also the same time, i have chosen in the sync interval?

Can someone please clarify this questions?

Please check /android/media/com.nextcloud.client/nextcloud/logname@nextcloud.domain in the Android filemanager

That is the folder, where synced files are downloaded to.

If you intend to 2-way sync between freely selectable directories of your Android device (eg /storage/emulated/0/Documents/) you may choose FolderSync instead of the NC-Client App. Shortest sync intervall of FolderSync is 5 minutes.

Many thx. I have found the folder. Since this is a location, deep into the filesystem, this should be mentioned somewhere. Or a button, to open the path.

I have enabled a 2-way-snc and changed a file now in this folder, but after waiting some time (2 minutes), the change is not visible on the server. I think, a local change should be instantly uploaded/synced, because the client app can monitor this folder for changes. Im OK with a sync interval of for example 2 hours, as long a local change will be uploaded instantly.

I don’t really care about changes from server to client. This could be checked in 2h or longer interval. If i need it faster, i can force a manual sync. But i expect from a sync solution, that local changes are synced almost instantly, and not in a interval.
