Advice needed - Backup and Restore NextCloud 15

Hi,
I’m looking for a way to backup and restore my NextCloud Server.
I’ve tried and tried and tried some more, with no success.

I could really do with some guidance on this.

OS and dependencies

  • Ubuntu Server 18.04.1 LTS (64-bit)
  • Apache 2.4
  • PostgreSQL 10.6
  • PHP-FPM 7.2
  • Linux Kernel: 4.15
  • [Redis Memcache]

You need a backup of the database and the data directory. What did you try, and at what step did it fail? Detailed error messages and logs are helpful.
