Hi,

I have a home nextcloud installation with:
Nextcloud version: 18.0.4
Operating system and version: Debian Buster 10.3
Apache or nginx version: nginx 1.14.2-2+deb10u1
PHP version: 7.3.14

My installation is small in a home server. I have a folder with a lot of documents and files and I would like to use that folder from my nextcloud installation. So, the idea is that the nextcloud users could share (with external users with link) that files.

Is it possible?

I have tried with external storage, making a folder with hard links, but not success.

You can use local storage on your nextcloud.
You can allow sharing local storage.

Yes,

it worked but I’m not able to make it fully shareable.

I have followed the manual and it worked.

But, what I want is that the users could share the files inside with an external link and this seems not allowed.

Is this possible?

Have you set “Enable Sharing” in the adminstrator-configuration for external storage?
