I have a problem with uploading files to the server. When my friends do it from their phones, the files are simply uploaded to the server and stored there. However, when I upload files from my phone, a bug occurs: the file is saved on the server and I also get 3 copies on my phone. The first file is located in /Android/media/com.nextcloud.client/user. The second one is in /Android/media/com.nextcloud.client/tmp/user. The third one is stored in the app data itself, and I can’t delete it using standard methods — I have to completely uninstall the app to free up space on my phone. I couldn’t find any information about this problem online. The app was downloaded from Google Play. My phone is a Poco M3 Pro running Android 13.
Which version you using?
Allegedly, the F-Droid version works better than the one from the Google Play Store.
Can you test this?
I tried this version of the app, but it still creates three copies on my phone. To prevent my device’s storage from filling up, I completely uninstall the app (the folders get unsynchronized, and the space allocated for the three copies is freed). Then I can continue until the storage fills up again.
